    2015


    The site investigation works for detailed design stage of the Project was commenced on 18 March 2015.


    The detailed design of the Project is in progress.


    2014


    In the Public Works Subcommittee of the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council meeting on 19 March 2014, the Subcommittee supported the funding application for detailed design of this Project. The Finance Committee of the Legislative Council approved the funding application of detailed design of the Project on 2 May 2014.


    The amendment scheme of the project was gazetted on 21 March 2014.


    The detailed design of the project commenced in August 2014.


    The Government published a notice in the Gazette on 21 November 2014 announcing that the Cross Bay Link, Tseung Kwan O has been authorised by the Chief Executive in Council.


    2013


    The recommended scheme was presented to Sai Kung District Council on 8 January 2013. Support from the District Council was obtained.


    The Environmental Impact Assessment Report of Cross Bay Link, Tseung Kwan O was exhibited for public to comment from 3 April to 2 May 2013. The Report was approved by the Director of Environmental Protection with conditions on 11 July 2013.


    The project was gazetted on 10 May 2013 under Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance (Chapter 370).


    The Environmental Permit was granted by the Director of Environmental Protection on 15 August 2013.


    2009 - 2012


    Carried out 3-stages public engagement activities during which a Design Idea Invitation Event had been conducted, and the winning ideas had been taken forward for design options development. After detailed evaluation, Eternity Arch option, finally selected as the Preferred Option, scored the highest and at the same time, it was the most welcomed option by locals as noted from Sai Kung District Council survey and public survey.
